Using a much smaller hook than suggested in the pattern to meet the gauge.
Used fhdc sts instead of a chain start.

I’m short about 3” on the foundation sts with the J hook, I’m gonna test another 100sts with a 7mm hook and see if my math is right, that would add inches but not sts.
This yarn is beautiful and was $$ so I wanna make it right!

7mm was slightly too big, sticking with K/6.5mm.
