Color Scheme: purple, green, blue, cream using yarns from stash so I’ll be using various shades of colors.
I’ve decided to join the 12 squares I have now for this blanket and make it more of a throw sized blanket. I’m using the chain join from here (it’s at the bottom of the page) and I think I’m going to use this edging.
I laid all the squares out on the floor and was trying to arrange them but I was so sick I couldn’t focus so I asked my youngest son Riley for help. He is 17. I was surprised that when he sat down next to me and started telling me about balance and contrast etc. I let him arrange the squares. Then he asked how I was going to join them and I showed him all the options and which one I was thinking of using. He consented… I mean, agreed that it was the best one. However, he did not think I should join with the cream color. He insisted I use the green instead. Yes Sir!
I know he doesn’t really care about crochet that much but I know he likes when I ask for his help. I think this blanket will actually mean something to us both because we worked on it together. Now I think I’ll make some squares in royal blue and emerald green since Riley likes those colors.
