I like this pattern. I’ve been wanting to make this hat for a long time. I tried once when I was newer to crochet and didn’t understand it so I’d recommend this pattern for someone with some pattern reading experience, not someone brand new to crochet.

Yarn is thinner than the pattern calls for so I have to adjust a little:

1-8) as written
9-10) 4 dc
11-24) 5 dc

edging, switched to F on second round, switched to E on fourth round and replaced last round with sc.

The extra rounds give it good length so it can pull down over the ears if desired.

I love Caron Spa, so disappointed it was discontinued. : (
