Making for Halos of Hope and Stitches South On Safari Collection for Atlanta area children’s hospitals.

Used the Zombie sock monkey pattern for large. My yarn/hook was smaller resulting in a smaller gauge so it should fit younger kids/tweens.

Followed pattern for hat with earflaps. Used double strand on the ears to make them bigger.

Mane was added after. I didn’t want to work the Pomp-A-Doodle with the other yarn as the cording between the pompoms isn’t that soft. I chained 2 in between each pompom then sewed the chain of puffs onto the hat. (used a ply from the hat yarn so it blended in). Added a couple dangle pompoms to the bottom of the earflaps. Looks like a lion, I hope the kids like it.
