10-31-2016 Two More

Here are the latest two berets using this same pattern by Scarlett Royal. The lavender with turquoise and ivory brim also on the CinDWood 48 and the all-ivory was on the green 36 peg Knifty Knitter loom, proving you can make this on any loom. The 36 pegger fit tighter but looked better. But I loved the CinDWood hats better. Now I feel I can do this hate very well. I finally mastered that Kitchener stitch. Scarlett Royal demonstrated it on a sock that shows better than her beret demo shows. I wrote it down. It looks like this:
bottom first peg knit bottom loop (bottom to top), knit top loop
next peg purl top loop (top to bottom) the move back to the first peg and purl the bottom loop.
Move back to the second peg and repeat between the * . I found working loosely I could go back and tighten easier.

Okay, if you can see it, there was a stray ivory thread that needed to be tucked in. I did it after I took the picture. :-)
