Decided to experiment with this hat. After the k2p2 ribbed brim, I used this stitch http://www.loomahat.com/mock-mesh-stitch/

It was one strand of yarn rather than doubled. The yarn was very soft. This was fun. I will have to make a mock-mesh scarf sometime. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough of this yarn left so the hat will have to stand alone.

I don’t think the pictures do it justice. I really need a head stand. Oatmeal boxes don’t work to show off the crown. Still, until I get a head, this will have to do.
