April 23, 2017:
I just had to find something that used this fur yarn from Louisa Harding! It’s the closest to faux fur coats IN YARN I’ve ever seen. It is very expensive but I got it for a great sale because it is now discontinued.
Make sure to “groom” your fur knitting! Take an embroidery needle and pick at the loops that get stuck in the knitting to release the beautiful long fur strands.
Not a fan of the Lang Merino. If I didn’t know better I’d think it was cotton. Also, it’s very loosely spun and makes a flimsy fabric. To use it for real I would recommend to treat it like sport weight, using much smaller needles.
To max out on the fur, I lengthened the amount at the cuffs. The rest of the pattern is as is -- Louis Harding is a great pattern writer, lots of attention to detail! I highly recommend this pattern.
