This pattern had 3 things that I really enjoy - garter stitch, triangular shawls and feather and fan. The Poems sock yarn is great for this shawl. The colors are beautiful and the long repeats show off the striping well in the triangular shape.

I used every last bit of one skein. It still needs to be blocked. I think it will be great to fill in at the neck of my coat this winter.

I did find some thick spots in this sock yarn and a couple of knots. It would have disappointing for socks but it is fine for this shawl.
