I started these to find out how long it would take to knit a mitten in a classroom setting. Looks like about 6 hours/ mitten in my case. Setting them aside to finish later. Don’t need them right away.

12/31/10 Started the second mitten.

1/2/2011 posted a picture of the two mittens I have so far. This second mitten is almost an inch smaller than the first. I seem to have knit it too tight. Gauge is 26sts/4” on second, 24sts/4 on the first. It is tight for Carl to get over his hand.

I am also seeing that maybe I held the colors on the opposite side than I did with the first. I think I will see if I can duplicate each one of these and make 2 pair. I may have to donate the smaller one to a charity project.

Hibernating until winter gets closer or inspiration strikes.

May 23, 2014 brought out of hibernation. 3rd mitten is started into the top decreases.

May 27, 2014 first pair finished.
