I couldn’t find exactly the pattern that I wanted for this vest so I will be making mods as I go. I tried to use the Nathan vest pattern but after reading through notes from other knitters I know I will have to make drastic changes to the neck and armhole openings. DH is a big guy with a large head and will need more space in both places.

I am doing a 1x1 rib as I like the looks of that better. The body will be plain stockinette. I need to add some short-rows to the belly area.

I think I will write up this pattern since I have done all the calculations. I am helping a friend make one for her hubby which will be a different size.
