If you battle with “sleeve-island” you’ll have a serious case of “body-island” here.

I opted for the seamless version as I’m using my own handspun yarn. I’d spun it specifically for this project but once plied realised I had a lace weight instead of fingering . I dyed two skeins of yak silk lace using one of the colours in the hand spun.

Knitting the medium size.

I love the way the colours work together. I think had it been a plain colour I’d be having serious boredom issues by now, hence the name “18 hour road trip”

Mods:

I added two inches and repeated the garter ridge section on the hem. This stopped it curling and IMO it brings the shoulders and hem nicely into alignment

My gauge was tighter than the pattern and my finished measurement is 62 inches. I’m really glad it’s a few inches narrower as it’s very wide already.
