Vacation knitting . Using yarn I dyed a while back and teaming it with black

I’m carrying the yarn up the side. I knit both colours into the first stitch . This gives a very clean edge and no need to cut the thread between colours

I wanted a bigger shawl and made some changes to the pattern. Instead of 10 garter ridges in the main colour after each section, I increased them after each section. 15 after section two and the final section had over 20 ridges .
