Notes

Test knit for Tammy. Using my own hand dyed yarn plus a matching lilac and black as contrast colours.

The lilac is a tad thinner than the other yarns so I’ve gone down half a needle size for the first part of the shawl which is a solid lilac. I’ll add the other colours and go up a size .

I’ve reached the first set of eyelets and running out of the main yarn (C2), in my case the variegated. The pattern says under 400 yards but I’m already close to using 437 yards. If you’re a loose knitter bear in mind this can happen. My plan is to use my lilac as it’s fairly close to my variegated and knit the second set of eyelets with that and the last slipped stitch section.

Update
Phew! Well that was a serious case of yarn chicken. I had to reduce two eyelet rows in each eyelet section and reduce a few rows of C2. I had just enough to complete the final slipped stitch section.

The shawl is huge! I love it.
