I love this sweater - real delight to knit and wear.

Mods and Suggestions:

• This pattern is lovely but definitely runs big. Worsted weight yarn on 7s = down two sizes. I’m 5-11 and knitting a small. Probably should have knit a medium front.

• Jumping on the bandwagon with a double moss panel.

• I noticed different sizes of front panel shaping have very differently shaped slopes, with the small size having a dramatic slope, but the medium more blunt. The shorter slope also caused some bunching and in all cases, the cables interact with the edge of the front shaping in odd ways. In the pictures, you can see charts of the left shaping for 34, 36, and my modified chart 36 (in that order from top to bottom). The edited chart smooths out the cable starts, so all the cables start “whole” and smooths out the slope. That said, it was a dumb idea to knit the front a smaller size than the back.

• If I were to do it again, I would knit it in one piece to the armholes.

• Made up my own cables at the top of the front pieces.

• No buttons for me, but this yarn is super warm.

Note on the yarn, it grows like crazy when you wet block it.

This project had great mojo from the start. No idea why I named it “unbridled” or why I was inspired to go with purple unicorns for the placeholder.
