I am doing 7 dc on each bar instead of 5, and i am taking out the Dc in the corner instead of doing 5 there. result is the same, i just dont have to fight with the corners.

10-6-2010 = Finished the outside border of the hotpad.

10-7-10 = Finished the pumpkin color. my fingers are starting to hurt a little. you know … 20,000+ Double crochet stitches in one day can wear your little fingers out! I cant decide if i want to do the goldenrod or the cream next. i am leaning more towards the cream… (a couple secconds later)… cream it is! will update with another photo after this is done!!!

10-9-10 = It is 8am in the morning and I just finished the cream colored portion of the hotpad. Onward to the Goldenrod then the stem and veins! then i will be finished!!!!!
