Notes

Summary: I chose the wrong yarn. Heathered yarn in lace weight hides the stripes. Solids next time. I love the way it feels on.
4/11/13: This should be a perfect project for knitting group - all garter, all the time. PS: Actually, because I lined up the color balls on the table to keep them from tangling, this isn’t the greatest project for knitting group.
4/19/13: Started, knit a dozen or so rows and saw why people are talking about a tight edge. Rummaged around in the forums and found this link to a “Scientific Study” of the Color Affection. I’m going to use the YO increases and see how it goes.
5/27/13: I love my food scale. I weighed each ball of yarn after knitting the shawl. Assuming ea ball weighed 100g, I used 35g (280yds/256m) of MC; 39g (312ydskn/285m) of C1; 41g (328yds/300m) of C2.
