I ended up starting over with this. I had out it in time out for a while and when I picked it up all I could see were the errors. I also switched from working it on straight needles to circulars and it is much nicer now.

Making this for a woman my husband works with. She is dreaming of making her move to Florida in a few years and is always doing something good for everyone around her. So a tropical scarf with leaping dolphins seemed a great way to show her she is appreciated.

I pulled the image off an old cross stitch pattern and graphed both the original and a mirror image. I’m not planning it out too much I will go through the first cake and then start working the dolphins upside down to go down the next side.
