Notes

I wanted to use 2 small balls of variegated merino yarn from stash, and I wanted coffee and milk colours…
So I bought some extra Lang sockyarn, because it comes with the little spool of reinforcement yarn. I hope this will help with the durability of the merino yarn!
Started with a stockinette toe on 2mm, switched to 1,75mm for the stretchy stitch pattern.
I used a shaped joined heel flap, with a zigzag bind-off ( Lara Neel - sock architecture- p46)

Knitting, knitting, knitting on the leg, with the occasional mistake. I still find it difficult to read the stitch pattern.
The leg is looking very wide, even if it’s knit on 1.75mm needles. I hope the ribbing at the top will help to draw the fabric in.
I tried it on, and it is really too baggy. I think I will have to frog and reknit over fewer stitches….

Frogged the leg and restarted over 54 stitches. I kept 30 stitches on the upper foot, and reduced the number on the back to 24 stitches. If this is still too wide I could switch to my smallest needles, 1.5mm. I will decide when I am a bit further into the leg.

1.75 mm and 54 stitches did the trick for a nice fitting leg.
Increased to 60 stitches and switched to 2mm needles for the cuff
