Notes

The name of the project comes from the fact that I bought the yarn at Purl City in Manchester and it is the colours of a blackberry cream tart.

Lovely as it looks, now matter how careful I am not to pull it too much, this yarn pulls apart gently several times on every purl row! I am spit splicing as I go, but it’s very irritating. It’s a single, and it’s fine on the knit rows, but on the purl rows it just pulls apart.

July: I am fed up with the spit splicing so I am going to change the pattern a bit and make a top, knitted in the round. I will join my fronts by overlapping the small amount of button bands I have already made, and knit on.
