Saraek gave me this for test knitting her raccoon pattern, which I loved :)
I made this pattern almost right away, but is don’t remember the date and I didn’t get pictures until recently. Everyone knows that ducks need webbed feet, and the pattern didn’t tell you how to make them, so I made them. Here is the pattern, make two obviously ;)
10 rows of 6 st I-cord
Turn, p
Turn, (p2, m1) x2, p2
Turn, (k2, p1) x2, k2
Turn, (p2, m1, k1, m1) x2, p2
Turn, (k2tog, p3) x2 k2tog
Turn, (p1, m1, k3, m1) x2, p1
Turn, (k1, p5) x2, k1
Turn, (p1, wt, k1, turn, p1), k5, rpt what is in parenthesis, changing the turn to wt, k5, p1, turn, k1, wt, p1
Turn, (k1, p5) x2, k1
Turn, co in pattern
I then put a pipe cleaner through he ducks body as you can see in the picture(second from the bottom) and then I slipped it through the I-cord of the foot and stitched the leg to the body on both legs before cutting the pipe cleaner and sewing the bottom of the I-cord closed. You want the leg to be facing up as shown in the pictures. It’s really easy and probably don’t need pictures but if so, I hope they’re helpful.
