Changed one of the knit stitches beside the cable panel to a purl to stabilize the garment more.

Used the tips from purlyprincess’s Wee Sherlock and knit fewer buttonholes and decreased on the first hem row to reduce flair:

First row of hem (Row 13) (WS): K to marker, rm, K2, K2tog, K4, K2tog, K2, rm, K to end

Done, but keeping it in progress as I need to block and sew the buttons. Notes to follow on sleeve shaping.

Sleeves: Pickup 4 STS in underarm. Decrease them out over next 2 rounds.

Slight decrease for sleeves:
Knit 2 inches. Then k2tog, knit around to last 2 sts, ssk.
Knit 4 rounds.
Repeat decrease round.
Knit 4 rounds.

Continue until sleeve is 4 inches
