I love these free alphabet patterns by Kimberly Lewis!! She did such a great job designing them. I decided to put a gusset between the two Ms…. First, I worked a round of single crochets stitches around each M. Then, on the blue one, I worked a round of single crochet stitches into the back of each stitch (this makes a sharp 90 degree turn from the surface of the M and leaves a cool edging of both unused stitch loops). Then, I did several more rounds of blue sc’s, switched to orange partway up the gusset, and then finished off. I whipstitched the gusset onto the orange M into the back of the sc round, again leaving a nice edging of the unused top loops.

I had a hard time pulling the stitches tight enough with the yarn I chose (perhaps I should have used an E hook?)…. You can see the stuffing through in a few places, but it would have been really complicated to line the pillow with fabric. I’m still happy with the result, though!
