I really love this pattern but I also really needed a toddler size. I went down a hook size and used an I hook. I wanted to keep the pattern the same but it was still a little large. I ended up stopping at 3 dc in the first space. For my edging, I did a round of hdc and then 3 rounds of hdc in the back bar. It fits my 3 year old perfectly.
