December 31, 2015 Have 8 blocks finished, almost done with the 9th. Aiming for 12 blocks with crochet edging. Depends on how the blocks block :) So far most blocks are taking about 75 grams apiece and I’m hoping they will block to around 15-16 inches square. Hope I have it done before spring and warm weather, or there is always next winter.

January 2, 2015 finished 9th block

January 6, number 10 done! I’ve been practicing my crochet skills. With skill being the operative word here.

January 22 - Finished 12th and hopefully final block. Now to the blocking, crochet etc……

Finished afghan. Crocheted around each block twice after blocking the squares to 18”. Used single crochet then joined with a “running crochet” join. Nice even joins and seem nice and even as well as strong. To strengthen all the joins even more I used double crochet and went all the way around the afghan. I’m very happy with the results, it’s very warm and cuddly. The only issue is that I can’t seem to get pictures that show the color at all close to the beautiful yarn it is. Will try again in the future.
