Blood is the sweat of heroes ~Zimbabwean Proverb
This proverb could have many meanings through out the series. The biggest and obvious is that Buffy’s hard work (sweat), helps protect the blood of the muggles from the vamps.

I like this quote from the show:

Basically the whole premise of Buffy is blood.

I think the necklace would have been worn by our favorite evil vamp, Drusilla. She always dressed in flowing lacy type things. I chose red obviously because its the color of blood. I added the little blood looking bead drops to represent the drops of blood on your neck as a vamp is biting you.
