10-3-15

Learning to knit portuguese style from Andrea Wong’s Craftsy class and this is the practice piece. Hopefully this yarn isn’t too busy for it.

10-5-15

Finished the brim and did 17 rounds after the increase round for the required four inches after cast on. I’m really loving the knitting style. I feel like I’m already nearly as fast as continental. My only bottleneck is getting the yarn to flow easily and I think the weirdly square ball shape of this yarn may actually be the culprit.

10-7-15

I finished this yesterday and it turned out pretty cute, except it’s tiny! My gauge is good so either it’s supposed to be for a kid (or tiny-headed adult) or I missed something critical. I checked the pattern and 78 sts was all it called for casting on. *shrug* It’ll look adorable on my niece.
