I feared running short before I could do enough repeats of the glorious edge, so I made another batt with loads of gray mohair, a bit of dark brown yak, and some silk and firestar. then, I felt I needed a bridge, so took half of this batt and added in some pink that I used in the original batt (Stalactite yarn). Spun these two yarns on my wheel- much coarser than the pink yarn due to all the mohair, and much less airy, wheel vs spindle….

I started this shawl for my mother, but could not part with it yet- she may get it this fall for her birthday, we will see…
