This was purchased as a kit from Baa Ram Ewe. I couldn’t resist it because it just reminded me of a very dear friend in his braces and trousers plus flat cap and scarf.
It’s great fun to knit, although I have found a couple of errors in the pattern, but nothing that wasn’t easy to spot (for instance the left leg is knitted first in the correct yarn colour, as a continuation of the body, but the right leg instruction starts with a reference to using MC which is the colour of the jacket and trousers). It’s nothing major, but I just have to keep my wits about me……….
I also decided to add some of the scarf colour (red) to the stranded design of the little vest, as well as what was in the pattern, just to make it more colourful. I love the way the body takes shape, and the way that you stuff it as you go along.
Will post my own pictures when completed.

Finally completed the trousers and the little patterned vest. Looking good, now need the jacket and hat and the face and he’s ready to face the world.

Finished the jacket and the hat. Now completing the braces which ends the knitting. Then going to tackle the embroidery face. What I love about this pattern is the way that each piece is knitted in one, without any seams. The hat is a masterpiece of shaping and I just thought it was ingenious.

Finally sat down and finished the embroidery on the face and the hair. He’s lovely. And I may knit another.
And although this was meant for The Young Man in my life, I’m keeping this Little Fella for myself. The Young Man has requested a Tiny Clanger instead. See other projects.
