What a great little project! This hat took just under one skein of City Tweed HW. I changed the needle size, used a 5 for the first part but I really wanted the back to be drapey so I used 8’s for the top. I probably should have used 6’s for the beginning part because it’s a little tight - City Tweed HW is heavier than Caron Simply Soft. One thing is that it will not slip off like other knit hats I have. And it does stretch to a comfortable fit. I want to knit myself 100 of these hats - what a nice pattern!
