Using heavier yarn and bigger needles than the pattern called for. I also added several extra pattern repeats to make it bigger. It pulled together in the middle a bit more than I wanted it to… maybe if I’d used wool I’d have been able to block that out. Backed it with flannel that I decided to hand stitch down and put ties in it throughout just to help it stay in place. Overall it’s very soft and so squishy… perfect for a wee newborn due to arrive earthside in February, in northern Minnesota!
