I’m going to make these mixed but matching. Each sock will be different color, but with cuff, toe, and heel done in the opposite color.

Cuff is 1x1 ribbing.

I’m modifying a basic sock pattern to add some details to the front with cables and fancy stitches. I am doing a 4-strand plait for the center cable, from this site: http://howdidyoumakethis.com/five-cable-knits/.

4 strand plait cable:
Rows 1,2,4,5,6,8: p2, k8, p2
Row 3: p2, c2f, c2f, p2
Row 7: p2, k2, c2b, k2, p2

On the sides, I’m also doing little eyelet patterns.
Row 1: sl1, k2, psso
Row 2: k1 yo, k1
Row 3: k3
Row 4: k3

Here’s the setup row, and you can pretty easily piece together how the rest of it goes.
k1, p2, sl1, k2, psso, p2, k2, p2, k8, p2, k2, p2, sl1, k2, psso, p2, k1

Finished first sock on 9/13, and cast on the match on 9/14.
