I altered this pattern to fit my daughter who just turned 8. My gauge gave me 6 stitches per inch horizontal, and 8 stitches per inch vertical. I cast on for size 15 as I needed a total of 72 stitches for the back. Total I needed 54 stitches per arm. I did a k2tog decrease every 2” over the length of the arm (7 decreases total). I believe I ended up decreasing to 48 stitches rather than the 54.

Once the back was complete I knit the sleeves two at a time. I made them full length, knitting to a length of 13.5 inches in stockinette. I decreased 6 times and then switched to a 1X1 rib for 1.5 inches. Knit in a rib pattern straight for 1 inche to create a thumbhole. I knit an extra inch then bound off.

It’s super cute and fits her really well :)
