I modified this pattern by casting on 170, which resulted in two more repeats of the pattern. I also changed the pattern repeat to make the tops of the diamonds reduced to one stitch, like the bottom. I did this by doing the pattern as written until row 17. Then:

Row 18: K6, K3tog, K6, repeat to end of round
Row 19: Knit even
Row 20: K6, MIL,K1, MIR, K6, repeat to end of round
Rows 21 & 22: Knit even

Then start at row 1.
