Notes

My first project from the new 50 Yards book.

Went together in 2 evenings in front of the TV, but that seems like a really long time for such a little guy, I must still be a very slow knitter.

Very easy.

used French Knot eyes to make it suitable for the local Children’s Hospital. (The building in one of the photos.)

Yarn labeled as #4 Worsted but it’s much closer to a #3 sport/DK.

All day DH has been having an eerie feeling that he’s being watched. Almost like there’s a tiny, stealthy little ninja hiding around the apartment. Peering through the bars of my yarn swift. Hiding under the lampshade. Peering through a drinking glass on the coffee table. Climbing the safety cage of the bedroom fan…

As creeped out as DH is over our little ninja hiding all over the apartment spying on him…. He doesn’t want to give the ninja up! (He thinks it’ll be loads of fun to keep finding him all over the place.) I keep making these toys for the local children’s hospital, and occasionally for swap partners, but DH keeps falling in love with them and refusing to let me send them. I have a hard enough time giving up my critters without having him sook, holding my guys and flashing his lost puppy eyes at me. My next hospital delivery is tomorrow and Nano is going! But I have a feeling another may be hiding in DH’s Christmas stocking. Ooh ooh ooh…. Maybe A camo ninja! makes him even more stealthy & invisible, and will tickle my Captain’s army fancy. Maybe thy could be this year’s “twin gifts”. (DH is a twin, and like many twins they hate sharing everything and always receiving the same gifts, so every year I like to find some funny little gift to give both of them, just to piss them off a little and bring back memories of childhood (not that their family ever stopped the practice now that they’re adults.)
