Time to take some notes, before I forget everything :)
The tunic is knitted bottom up and flat. Because I don’t like seaming, I knitted in the round, but still bottom up. I knitted size S, but cast on 4 sts less, to account for not having to seam. I did the same with the sleeves. At this point I have just started the second sleeve.

The pattern is confusing at times, long sentences telling you to do things simultaneously. What it doesn’t tell you is, how you should decrease stitches and not destroy the cable pattern. the top front and top back part have 2 sts too few to knit the pattern whole, the side cables consist of 12 sts, but after the decreases there are only 10 left. You are really left on your own here. What I did was to start decreases in the purl section between the cables.
Because of all the decreases the neck doesn’t look that nice, at some point you will have to start decreasing the withing the cable section. I guess that is why the designer chose a cowl neck.
