Notes

This pattern is worked in slip-stitch mosaic for the leg and stranded stripe for the foot. The slip stitch pattern is surprisingly stretchy.

The maze pattern is also found in A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara G. Walker.

Details
Cuff: Long tail c/o 64 sts on 2.75mm dpns; 12 rounds 2x2 rib; rd 13 knit only & increase to 70 sts
Leg: work rds 1-32 + 1-31 of maze
Heel: Omit garter border; slip stitch heel flap beginning with purl row, ending with knit row
Foot: decrease gusset to 72 sts for foot to maintain stripe pattern; work stranding LH green, RH white; 45 striped rows on sole from heel to toe
Toe: change to 2.5mm dpns, work one round even in green, decrease next rd & every second rd ending w/dec rd = 28 rds, 16 sts, close w/kitchener

Needles: Signature aluminum dpns 2.75mm & 2.5mm (for toe)
