Notes

My first FO from yarn bought at Rhinebeck 2017. I was attracted to the design of this shawl because it is neither garter stitch nor brioche as are other patterns I’ve made or plan to make. I actually bought the yarn for a different project but used it for this one instead and I’m quite happy with the result.

Mods
Section 1: aligned the checkerboard slip-stitch sections
Section 7: made some minor design changes so as not to run out of Poppy or Charcoal.
Allover: to avoid tightening the edge I used regular reverse K & P instead of reverse KTBL & PTBL at edges. If I make this shawl again I would not only just K or P these stitches but would also not reverse them.

Blocking
Cold bath in Soak wash, rolled in towel and patted to shape on the blocking board. I did not spin in dryer and did not use pins or blocking wires.

Needles
40” circ Chiagoo Lace stainless steel 3.5mm/US4
5” dpn Knitters Pride wood 3.75mm/US5 (one needle used for icord bind-off)
