Update: After getting the yarn it was a quick project to finish up. I am not sure yet if I am a hat person, but won’t hold that against the pattern. It’s fun to combine crochet and knitting like this. I have crocheted edges along knitting, but never the other way around :) I made mine a small medium (skipped the first extra rows and did do the last one) and made 10 rows of knit ribbing instead of 8.

So I had a single skein of Scheepjes Bloom leftover from another project. Of course I get all brave, thinking I can make a hat from that. Should be enough right? Wrong! Ran out just before the knit part, even in the Small size option.
Yarn shop visit imminent!
