My very first design!

This is a crochet summer hat with a knit band. It’s designed in three lengths for slouchiness.

I recommend using cotton for the closest match to the lengths in the pattern. My test run in wool came out quite a bit shorter.

Round 5 should read: “ch 1, sc in same st as join, sc in next 7 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st to end of round, sl st join in first sc” This should get you from 54 sts up to 60 sts.

Round * should read: “ch 3 (counts as first dc, ch 1), sk 1 dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, ch
1, sk 1dc to end of round, sl st join in top of first ch 3”

Pattern is in US terminology.
