Fell in love with the texture and earthy color of an Acne sweater using a mohair-linen blend.Bernike Mohair

The colour was a dark caramel but for me - this combination is better! Also - I never use sweaters…
I used a classic cotton crochet yarn nr 10 (with no label on it) from my stash and knit two-stranded with the mohair.

Oversized cardigan with wide sleeves, inspired by two different Anna & Heidi Pickles patterns (it was the fuzzy dot CARDIGAN but it doesn’t seem to be on Ravelry yet). Great patterns, by the way!!

Knit partly on the machine. Hand knit top down with raglan YO. Gauge 14 sts and 18 rows on 7.0mm knitting needles/8.5mm on the machine. I alternated between 8.5 and 9.0mm within some rows to get an uneven hand knit look. Before knitting, I made yarn balls with both yarns because I found out that this reduces the tendency of the machine to put one yarn in front of the other. This makes the fabric look zebraish, which I don’t like :)

For the ribbing, I used 5.00mm knitting needles and no decrease sts before beg of 1x1 ribbing. They are hand knitted. Sleeves are knit without decreases until cuff and before ribbing decreased: k1, k2tog, k1 repeat from: 36 sts. Ribbing body and sleeves: 14 rows each.
Button band: Pick up 3 out of 4 rows and stitches around edgings. Knit 6 rows, BO loosely.
