Cast on on a Tuesday, colorwork yoke finished on Thursday! Best week ever. My knuckles hurt. :D

Finished the first skein of MC just after completing the colorwork in the yoke. Still have tons of CC left in this skein. Definitely didn’t need 2 skeins of CC! Finished sweater with 2 skeins of MC leftover, too

Adding leaf motif to wrists because 1) I have so much extra CC, and 2) knitting down sleeves is borrring. Now I can knit up from the cuff and graft. Much more entertaining :)

A note about the pattern: Like I saw in many people’s project notes, the short rows in the middle back/ lower shoulder blade area does not work for me and my body at all. The sweater is lovely except for all the unfortunate gapping and sagging in the back. :( Even though I read it in other people’s project notes, I still wanted to put the short rows in “as written” just to see if I learned something new about shaping and fit. Nope. I’ll definitely knit this again but I’ll modify the yoke to put the short rows where they belong: higher up, before diving sleeves from body.
