Notes

This is what the failed frog egg cosy turned into! Profiting by my experience making the two animal egg-cosies, I managed to complete the final few sections with only a little help from a small crochet hook, by leaving all the slip-stitches as slack as possible.

This egg cosy actually came out a bit bigger than the other two as I inserted a whole extra short-row section before sewing it up. The first half was so very non-stretchy that the finished object really didn’t look egg-shaped otherwise.

Then I used the Tahiti Blossom motif design and some of the left-over oatmeal cotton from my nightcap to decorate the plain blue egg-cosy shape. The end result does make me think rather of Don Quixote and his windmills…. however, I think this will serve as a rather more grown-up design!
