I made this a full lace repeat longer.

I also changed the button band a bit. I didn’t like how the garter stitched button band looked so wavy. I just started the project with 6 rows of garter stitch (forming the top neckband), with 5 extra stitches on each side. These five stitches became the button band. I did garter stitch on those 5 stitches all the way down the sweater. Not only did it eliminate the waves, but I also didn’t have to pick up stitches to add the button band later. It was already done!
