I love the details and unique construction of this pattern. I learned a lot! However I had serious problems with the back collar. It was way too big and sagged in the back. I took it apart and did short-rows, eliminated about 2” of width across the top of the collar (or one full repeat of the lace edged on either side of the seam). It’s not quite as full now, but still sags. Not sure if this is a pattern design issue, or a yarn issue. (The yarn is pretty soft, so it won’t stand up on it’s own and the pattern didn’t say anything about making sure you have a stiff yarn to accomodate the collar.)

The fourth photo shows the collar after my changes. As soon as I move at all, it sags, as shown in the fifth photo.

I did change the lace pattern just slightly, by doing ss stitch in the wider lace panel, instead of garter.
