Notes

Using the samples I made in Katie Weston’s Spinning with Colour class at the AGWSD Summer School 2019.

Each day’s samples were around a theme of either a dye style and/or a spinning/plying style to explore how different approaches would affect the finished yarn/knitting. I started knitting in the centre with the Monday 1 sample and worked out chronologically. I didn’t manage to finish all the samples during the week (or even start some of them!), but have kept them in the order they should have been even if I actually spun them in a different order so that they make thematic sense.

I worked a crochet provisional cast on.

For the edges that will be picked up I am working sl1 pwise wyif for the last stitch of the row, and working k1 tbl for the first stitch of the row.

To join, I am working to last stitch, then sl1 kwise, knit up edge chain stitch, psso, turn sl1 pwise wyif then knit rest of row.
