Notes

Knitting for an art installation in St Mary’s Churchyard, Hitchin. Part of the Hitchin Festival.

Hitchin Stitchin decided to do a wool-themed installation to empasise Hitchin’s roots. St Mary’s is the second largest church in Hertfordshire - a wool church.

I took Nursery Rhymes as my theme, Specifically, Mary Mary Quite Contrary. I incorporated silver bells and cockle shells and made Mary’s swing.

I added apples, sunflowers, and lollipops, as well as wind chimes, to emphasise the nursery theme.
