I bought the Shetland wool a while ago and I’m using up peerie grains of wool to make the hat for my third born son, Bobby who’s a farmer of sheep here in the islands and loves to wear Shetland wool hats.
He’s a member of the Shetland Flock Book Society here in the islands and has won prizes since entering his own sheep stock (18 years when he won a major prize). This autumn he has been a judge which is an honour and a burden in equal measure as in a small island community you need to have experience, fairness and integrity at your core, and adhere to your values.
