I have made these up using 3 of the Buachaille colours with a Christmas feel to them. Every year for the last 3 years I have made up a pair of Christmas Fair Isle gloves, this year I opted for mittens with Kate Davies Designs wool for a little change. I have plenty of wool leftover to make another set of mittens - with a background colour of red possibly this time. The wool is thicker than I would normally knit with in Fair Isle. This pattern knits up quick over a few evenings or weekend.
