Notes

Odds and ends from my basket of wool which I wanted to use up. I am pleased with the overall effect of this hat which is modelled on my neice. All made from Shetland jumper weight wool from both Jamieson and Smith (wool broker) and Jamieson’s.
11/10/12 Having been at some of the Shetland wool week events this week in the islands I am considering trying to write some patterns of my work. I will probably begin with a small item like the beret here. Fingers crossed I can write the pattern well!
Pattern finally written and test knitted - publishing today 30th January 2016 on Emily Poleson Designs. I’ve selected both colour palettes from Jamieson and Smith (Shetland) Ltd and Jamieson’s of Shetland who both sell 4ply Shetland wool. One 25g ball of each shade is sufficient to make a beret.
