I made this waistcoat many years ago and it is still like new. It is made from pure Shetland fingering/jumper weight wool bought as per pattern colours which were then available from Jamieson’s - I don’t know if all these same colours can still be bought, though I am sure many of them are. The pattern was nice and easy to follow and the shaping is nice sizing. I bought the book from Jamieson’s also who supplied Alice Starmore books and patterns at the time.
